Cyber Evolution announces their First Pay-to-Play Season for Team Fortress 2.

More Information can be found at:

http://www.cevo.com/?page=forum&func...5949&forumID=2

Highlighted Points:

Event Details

The Amateur Division (CEVO-A) is open to any team and is divided into three conferences: Atlantic, Central, and Pacific. Teams will be competing for $1500.00 in cash and sponsored prizes. There will be one match per week in this division and the Match Deadline Day is Thursday of each week.

CEVO-A is designed specifically for new and experienced teams seeking serious competitive play.

The Professional Division (CEVO-P) will host the 16 most talented teams in North America, as determined by our Professional Placement Tournament or earned incumbancy from the $1000 FREE tournament. The Professional Division has only one National Region. Teams will be competing for a whopping $3,500.00 in guaranteed cash! Pro teams will play two matches per week on Monday and Thursday nights.

More details on the Pro Placement Tournament will be announced soon.

The regular event membership fee for Season 1 is $20 USD per player.

Early Registration Discount

Quote:
Any player who registers by 11:59 PM PT Friday, December 7th will receive a discounted early bird rate of only $15 USD.

Players may register for Season 1 without already being on a team.

Both Amateur and Professional teams will be able to reserve premium quality game servers for their matches, courtesy of NuclearFallout, and will also be eligible for a FREE NationVoice ventrilo server!

Keep in mind that no matter how many teams sign up this is the money that has already been allocated to the 1st season of TF2 in CEVO. The more teams that sign up, the bigger the prize is going to get. So those of you who want to compete for money, but don't have the amount of time to dedicate that some players do to play in the Professional Division aren't going to go away with nothing. Also, the $20 ($15 if you register before Dec 7th 1159PST) doesn't go toward paying for the prize of either division for this season. But I imagine it could make next seasons prizes increase significantly.

#4v4league

As few rules as necessary. Basically the goal is to have free.tfc style play with set rosters. OGL style challenge system. Play whatever map you want, whenever you want. Servers will be available for matches, if needed.

Rules, what few there are, are subject to change.

UPDATE: Matches will be played on Wednesdays.

The Konspiracy Gaming League.. We've been wanting to do this for a long time. Unfortunately TFC's popularity was already declining when we first had our ideas about this league. Now that TF2 is finally out and is very popular we believe it's time for Konspiracy to have it's own gaming league! We have the resources for it and we've had multiple clans suggest us that we should start our own league... So here it is.

kGL is a season / playoffs based league where clans get to play season matches and top clans in the league get to make the playoffs. It's a concept that was first introduced by the TFL in TFC, but have been doing weekly titles for a long time now. We thought it was time to bring back some one of the unique formats for TF2. kGL was originally going to be a ladder, but we're leaving this to the OGL. We're not here to compete with another league but more to provide the community with another choice.

We will be looking for staff to help with the league, so if you are interested please contact me in the KSE forums or on irc, #konspiracy on irc.gamesurge.net - if you have any questions, i will be more than happy to help you. You may also contact kevin or dinosaurgas should I not be around!

If you're interested to participate please sign up on the site, as soon as the teams you create have at least 8 players listed they will added.

All matches will obviously be tracked on the KSE. For now the match day is planned for Wednesdays. We originally wanted to take Mondays, but seeing as IGL has decided to take mondays, we didn't feel it was right to compete with them. We are planning to start matches on 2007/11/14.

I hope to see all the teams from KSE participate

Use the "Submit missing match" link to add matches.

http://www.konspiracy.org/?action=addmatch&div=tf2

We are currently working on adding auto-importing of matches with the major leagues.

Konspiracy is the group name. Clicky!

It is a public group. You are welcome to join. Announcements here will most likely show up there as well.

KSE is interested in tracking leagues from all over the world. If your clan is interested in being tracked and you play in a league, contact your league admins to send them this way or let us know about your league and we can contact them.

It is VERY easy to setup and requires little to no work from the league once implemented. All the league needs is a few (sometimes just one) volunteer to make sure the match reporting is accurate but most leagues already have people doing this.

We will track 4v4 and 5v5 together, 6v6 and up together. This pretty much ensures all types of leagues can be tracked.

Here at TFL we would like to celebrate the first season of TF2 by offering prizes to this season’s winning clan!

The clan who ranks #1 at the end of this season, will be awarded the following gifts:

A FREE SERVER AND VENT FOR 1 YEAR & $1000 CASH!

You must be signed up in TFL’s TF2 division before matches become official on November 22, 2007.

Anyone caught cheating will be disqualified and immediately banned and their clan will no longer be eligible for the prizes. So Leaders, keep your team clean.

The season will run for the normal 16 weeks, and after all the dust settles, the #1 ranked clan will take home those wonderful prizes!
You have about a month to get your clan TF2 ready and to sign your clan up for TF2.

Clan Requirements are a 12 man roster (minimum) and a webpage with a Current Roster and Steam Id’s.

Let the games begin!

I made what is possibly the last All Time Pure Stats Top 10 for TFC.

Less than 20 clans are now competing in STA & TFL and I expect the numbers to keep going down. With TDA and ae gone only Nx remains as a clan who is in the top 10. No other is close to it.

Once again I only used 10 categories and ranked clans accordingly. This does not factor in how many matches were played, although a clan needs a minimum of 25 matches to figure on the list.

I did add two more categories to create a second ranking. Those can be influenced by having played more matches.

Final ranking:

KiN 81
TDA 56
CE 53
Zt. 45
ae 42
V 38
a* 37
404 21
US 19
Nx 13

Any discussion please direct it this way:
